Hi all,

I recently discovered chicken scheme and am currently learning it.

While playing with it to replace some of my custom scripts, I ran into a little
issue, and I can’t tell whether I don’t understand the documentation, or there
is an implementation error.

I’m using chicken Version 6.0.0 (rev 2e30c07e) as officially packaged by
archlinux.

The process* documentation says
(https://api.call-cc.org/6/doc/chicken/process#sec:process.2a):

> Like process but returns 4 values: …

My understanding of the matter is that contrary to process, which returns a
process object, process* is supposed to return 4 values, to be handled by
receive, let-values…

During my tests doing so raised an error, stating that only one value was
returned instead of the 4 expected… and actually it seems that process* also
return a process object, the only difference being that the process error port
is exposed. This is visible here if I’m not wrong:
https://code.call-cc.org/githtml/chicken-core/master/files/posixunix.scm.html#L1312

Is this behavior the one expected? Should the documentation be fixed, or to the
contrary the posixunix.scm file be fixed?

I can try to submit a patch either way if you wish, but as I only join the
community, I prefer to check the expected behavior first :)

Have a great day,
