Recently for fun (and a bit of stubbornness) I put together a simple program to watch changes to markdown files using inotify and convert them to HTML for a simple website. I cleaned it up some and called it pebble:
https://sr.ht/~dieggsy/pebble/ release-info: https://git.sr.ht/~dieggsy/pebble/blob/main/pebble.release-info Note that the extent that this is tested so far is "works for me". The intent was to keep it relatively minimal but hopefully easy and convenient to use for simple websites like a blog. As such inotify is optional (and in fact requires an unreleased patch to port it to C6) so pebble can also be used like a traditional static site generator. It can also start up a spiffy server, mostly for testing (though maybe I'll add SSL support to the command line args, cause why not). At some point I'd love to support org-mode because I prefer it to markdown, but that would require a yet unwritten org-mode (subset?) parser... Diego
