I just took a look at the read-syntax rule for it and *yikes*, you're right, it's just kind of a nuke. Can you send me a full example of code where you ran into this, just for reference? I should mention I have a pretty significant update to chalk coming up, I just haven't been quite happy enough with it to release it just yet. This wasn't on my radar though, so thanks! Diego
