One of my mom's yorkies had a heart murmur, they knew this since she was a puppy, and she lived to be almost 10 years old and she was sick once when she was about 6, she was in the animal hospital for over a week and on IVs, and she got much better after a couple of weeks coming home and then she was fine for a long time, never relapsed, so don't let the fact that he has a heart murmur scare you about his health. In my experience, they can become sick for a short period of time, but they can also fight it and live a long and healthy life!
I'm not sure what to do about him marking his territory again. I've been raised with girl dogs and I will actually be getting my first boy dog in a couple of months, so I'm sure I will learn all about male puppies soon!
