Im sorry Melissa it doesnt matter why you breed the simple fact that you breed makes you a BYB in many peoples eyes. That may be why you have gotten some of the responses you have. IMO there is no such thing as a "hobby breeder" not when there are thousands of dogs dying in shelters every day because people like you only want to breed "just once a year" or "for my family" or "because she is just sooo cute." Please think twice about breeding your dogs, especially since one isnt even AKC registered.
