In our experience, fear or discomfort with thunderstorms or loud 
fireworks is not unusual. We have 3 Chihuahuas and all, too different 
degrees, are uncomfortable.  You might want to visit
www.hsus.org/(Humane Society of the United States)for more info.  
Type "thunderstorms" in the search area and see what you find.Hope
thathelps.
