I might be inclined to think that she did go into heat, except, I am sure that even if missed it, one of my many male dogs would have known! lol   The male that I breed her with wont ever "try" without my assistance (she mistreats him all the time!! lol), but I have other male dogs, including 2 chis and a mutt outside, not to mention all the neighbor hood males that always "know" and none of them have been acting "excited" like they always do.   As for the food, I have never heard of that, but any time my chis change food, they end up with upset stomachs, diarrhea, ect. Definitely not worth it. Hopefully she will go the next time.   Marsha Ya know, I was feeding Natural Balance and I really liked the ingredients and they make what is called a "Roll" and it smells so good and the dogs loved it BUT not one of my females went into heat.  NONE, once I took them off of the Natural Balance 3 went right into heat.  I know you have been feeding your brand probably forever but thought I would just express my experience.  I just thought it was odd.  I still have one female I am waiting on who I skipped her first heat cycle and now it has been 10 months without a heat so I am totally confused as to why.  Unless she went into a silent heat no swelling and no bleeding.  I heard this happens but never experienced it.  Maybe your girl did the same thing.   Jen " Lets talk about our wonderful little friends!
