wow- thanks for the info. I'm new with this :) you can see photos of my chi under "amanda & chino" Is chino a "deer faced"? Not that it matters...just curious. I tried to veiw the pic, but kept getting a "group check" error message. Don't know what that means. As to whether your chi is deer or apple head....I think it is all a matter of degree. AKC words the standard as a "well rounded, dome shape"....Where is the cut off?? I have no idea! lol Remmy the taco bell dog? she was a deer face for sure...most champion chi's have VERRY small snouzers....but most of everyone I have seen, falls somehwere between these two. Technically, the shorter the nose and rounder the head, the better, but that is just with breed standards. I personally have one that I know wouldn't meet standards, but wouldn't realy qualify as a deer either. SOOOO a matter of oppinion and degree. Since I couldn't see the pic, I can't give my personal oppinion. Marsha
