A couple people mentioned that she looked like a
"Lily". (THANK YOU!) I liked that name but have been
calling her LillyBell. We'll see if it sticks.

Yesterday the poor thing got spayed, a dental with
extractions and a rabies vaccine. The vet said her
uterus and ovaries were in really bad shape. The
uterus just fell apart as they removed it. Her
ovaries were full of cysts too. At least I know she
didn't have pups recently. They said she is 7 lbs
which I can't believe. (I guessed 4 lbs.) I was
right at guessing her age-she is between 6 and 7 years
young.

She has been sleeping most of the time from the
anestesia. She woke me up a couple of times snoring.
LOL! She ate this morning too which is a good thing.
I have no idea if she is housebroken. I'll soon
find out.....

Here she is in her new bed. A much better place than
in a noisy shelter!

What an absolutely adorable puppy! I am so envious. I have a male chi, Pedro, who was 18 yrs old August 25th, and a female chi, Rosie, who was 16 yrs old July 6th. I really do miss them being "puppies" - however, I truly do love them. to pieces. They are so spoiled!
Our family has had chis for 30 years. They are
the greatest little guys a person could have.
Take care of Willow!

I wonder if he was abused or mistreated before you got
him? Rolling
over and/or submissive peeing is his way of
demonstrating that he
isn't going to challenge your dominant position in the
pack. (someone wrote me)

First off I want to thank you guys for listening.
Also he used to live with two little small chi/ one
was a bit aggressive and with two great danes. Not
sure if he been abused. He lived with two kids also.
That could be it but not sure. He is very submissive
and fearful. He slowly getting better. He also know
the sit command.

I continue to have bouncing problems with my yahoo groups. I have had to "reactivate" several times. Hopefully, I am back up and running now, and hope I haven't missed anything important. In case I did, I will welcome all new members of any group since bouncing began. I offer my prayers for all prayer request sent. And I continue to ignore all smarty pants remarks made. :-)

Thanks for everyone's patience! :-)

I'm glad LillyBell is doing well. It's a good thing you went ahead
and got her spayed before she started having problems. I know she is
liking that warm cozy bed better than the shelter! ~Lacey
