I always put the cat food on top of the dryer in the laundry room. That way my cat could get to it, but only the cat. If your cat is incapable of making that jump, you could put something there to make a step to help get half way up. Our cat's litter box was in between the washer and dryer. So she used that as her "step". ~Lacey
