This might also be a helpful alternative... My older poodle stopped eating dry food and she would only eat it if we softened it up with water. She loved it and my others thought it was a treat as well. I guess the only thing that would be concerning is that you wouldnt want their teeth to get soft!

Also i own a doberman, so as budget calls for - canned is better
tasting, but much more costly. Please do me a favor, don't feed
them table scraps - this will ruin a dogs health faster than
anything and also make them choosey. Feed them 1 time per
day and 2 times if its cold. If they stay indoors, make sure they
have plenty of cheweys - it will save your shoes. Buy the
smallest bag you can get away with, dog food goes bad fast.
More than 2 or 3 weeks and the pup won't eat it any more. Your
dogs stomach is about 1/2 the size of your fist, so feed them
about a
somach full every day.
