Did you know?

Since the holidays are approaching, please consider spreading the
word of Freecycle by doing the following. And if you have creative
ideas you've employed to let friends, family and colleagues know,
drop us a note at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

1. Mention Freecycle in your holiday newsletters to friends and
family. Freecycle is an international movement, and all you need to
do is simply direct people to the main website so they may find the
appropriate group nearest them. http://www.freecycle.org

2. Let your children's schoolteachers know that they might be able
to find valuable resources to help with their teaching efforts by
belonging to Freecycle.

3. Ask your church, synagogue, mosque or other religious group about
having a little article about Freecycle in your newsletters or
weekly informational flyers.

4. Tell soccer coaches, Scout troop leaders, dance instructors,
everyone you encounter that there are free items available on
Freecycle.org.

5. If you go to garage or yard sales, mention that any leftover
unsold items could be posted on Freecycle and given away, rather
than being thrown in the trash.

6. Your friends who are stuck in C.H.A.O.S. (Can't Have Anyone Over
Syndrome) and have too much stuff finally have a way to find new
homes for their clutter. (Besides Freecycle.org, consider referring
them to www.Flylady.net , too, to help with getting out from
under the burden of having too much stuff or too much clutter.) And
if this is *you,* please try listing one or two items to see how
great it feels to give away things you're no longer using or that
you don't need any more.

The more people who join the group, the more likely that items
posted will *not* end up in a landfill somewhere, but will instead
stay in active use, appreciated and enjoyed by someone. And that's
our mission here...

Now is the perfect time to start going through your holiday
decorative items to see what you want to keep and what you're ready
to find new homes for... and post these items here (if this is your
designated "home" group) or to your appropriate designated "home"
group.

If you have unused greeting cards, but are still going to go out and
buy more, think about posting those from last season (or from years
past)...

If you aren't decorating this year or are downsizing your decorative
items, let someone else have the joy of using them for the holiday
festivities...

If you have too many ornaments or too many children's toys or
stuffed animals or things that could be used as gifts for others
this holiday season, consider giving yourself the gift of more space
and less clutter, plus helping someone else to have something
special...

You get the idea...

Just so everyone in the group knows. I'm not a moderator but a
member. I'm sure each and everyone of us has stuff to get rid of out
of our cubbards and closets. I know this post does not picturaly
pertain to the group. But we are all people and we should care about
our earth.

I am a dog owner, and I LOVE to spoil and dress up my puppy. (Panda
Serna) and I did join this group to buy things for her. I do not
make dog items. I do use a human skincare line that I sell on her.
(Baths and dry skin etc) and she loves it. (Not the bath part).

And that's it. I hope no one gets mad at me. But I wanted to share
this message to everyone. I do not profit from this. But my heart
grows bigger knowing that there are other people out there
that "care" also.

I hope to stay a member of this group as long as my dog is alive,
and I heard that can be up to 22 years old. Currently I am 25 years
old, so we'll see how it goes :)
