Many people have different ideas as to what constitutes a "back yard breeder:, so this is just my opinion.
Any one who breeds more than 2 different breeds of dogs is a byb. (I think a GOOD breeder should become "experts" in their ONE chosen breed) anyone who can not answer your questions or at least be willing to find out answers to difficult questions, is a byb. An ethical breeder can tell you everything you need to know about the breed they have chosen to love! Anyone who keeps their dogs in close confinements with little or no human interaction is a byb anyone who puts the money over the welfare of the pups and/or parents, is a byb anyone who breeds the same mom heat after heat, with no thought to moms welfare, is a byb anyone who doesn't care what male is the dad (indiscretionary breeding) is a byb anyone who can not tell you the pups background is a byb anyone who will not let you SEE where and how the pups are currently living is probably a byb anyone who will not let you see at least the mom and also the dad if on site, is a byb anyone who sells their babies at flea markets, ect without giving any interest to the type of person buying their pup, is a byb anytime you feel something "just isn't right", you are probably dealing with a byb. OF course, all this is just my opinion Marsha ----- Original Message ----- From: "pursepoor" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 01, 2005 10:32 AM Subject: [Chihuahuas] Re: Newbie here > Can someone clear up, what is a "back yard breeder"?
