You can buy nutrical in most pet stores (in the states anyway). I
haven't looked over here. If you can't find it and your pup does
happen to become hypoglycemic, you can give him a little corn syrup,
honey, or sugar water. Most people use nutrical as a dietary
supplement if their dog is not a hearty eater. I've never used it on
Fifi because she's never had a problem eating. She is picky when it
comes to dog food (will only eat Science Diet, and yes I've tried
the higher quality brands and she still won't touch it...lol). But
she eats the science diet really well so I don't have to worry about
her not eating enough. However I did get up with her every night for
a 2am feeding when I first got her. I was paranoid after seeing lots
of pups become hypoglycemic...lol. And yes, I do "free feed" her.
She eats a half cup of dry kibble a day. I just leave it out for
her. It normally takes her about half a day to eat it, and she gets
the occassional treat too. You'll be fine once you've had him for a
couple weeks. Everything will fall into place. :) Lacey

Where can you buy Nutricial? The breeder told me I should feed him
four times a day. I will be starting work sometime in January and I
am trying to figure out how I am going to make sure he gets his
meals. Do any of you put food out for your chi and let him eat when
they are hungery. I am feeling so bad, I am not sure what I am going
to do. I know he needs his food and hopefully hubby will be able to
help out as well. Any suggestes, thanks alot for welcoming me into
the group and hope to learn alot more about Roscoe.
