Well if she was a kennel dog, I assume she doesn't mind going potty in
her kennel? Is this right? We've finally just gotten our bulldog pup
almost completely potty trained (except at night). She doesn't mind
going in her kennel at all. And she would walk around and hide in the
house to potty. Of course I couldn't get on to her if I didn't see her
do it. A friend of mine suggested putting her on a leash in the house
(move her with you to which ever room you will be in). Most dogs will
not potty in front of you because they know it's unacceptable. That's
why Stella would go hide to do it. Now that she's had
practice "holding it", she is trying to hold it. It's actually worked
very well for us. Now I need to figure out what to do with her at
night. I keep her in a kennel at night and when we are gone (which is
not much since I'm a SAHM) so that she doesn't mess anything up. And
of course she potties in her kennel every night. But she's doing great
in the day time. I'm now able to let her run around some again in the
house. You can buy the long (10ft) teather leads at almost any pet
store. Good luck!  ~Lacey
