Well he is agressive with only the dogs and the kitten that we have inside right now. He will growl and bite at all of them. He doesnt growl and bite at the humans though. We have to move the food or put him in the kennel in order for the others to eat. He really wont let the other male that I have which is a purebreed chi eat. I have to make sure that he gets to eat. It doesnt matter where we put the food. Jake will sit next to it and growl at any dog or cat that comes near it. He is the youngest of my chis and the biggest because he is a mix. Not sure what he mixed with maybe rat terrier or mini pincher because he is not much bigger than my oldest chi Sweetie who is a purebreed long haired chi. She was a rescue dog from a shelter that they had gotten from a puppymill. She ignores Jake because she just growls back and moves him. She has no teeth from all the breeding and bad nutrition she was given at the puppymill. She really can take care of herself and makes sure she can eat. She doesnt guard the food like Jake though. The lady I got Jake from said she had all big dogs and that Jake was living outside. Not good for a chi or a chi mix. How do you get him from laying next to the food and growling all the time. I leave food down all the time so they can eat when they need to. Jake does play and run through the house but he hardly sleeps and lays next to the food even at night. I need to correct this so Tiny and Demon my smaller chis can eat when they need to. When Jake growls at Demon he will run away and hide and not eat. You have to take the food to Demon to eat. Demon is not a fighter or aggressive at all. Tiny doesnt go near the food unless we lock Jake up. She does growl at dogs when we give her a treat but not when she is eating regular food.
