Actually during this whole potty training process that we are going
thru she has only used the puppy pad because I have stood there and
not let her off of it. Once before I thought that I would not do
that and see if she would go over there to it and she totally peed
on the floor. So after that if it came up that I could not take her
out to go potty then I would just stand there and not let her off
the pad. So last night I was shocked and so proud of her for doing
that. I praised her for it though I did not give her a treat I was
afraid that might just make it worse. Now when I take her outside
she goes pee right away but then some little thing will scare her
and she won't go poop. So I show her that I am more stubborn than
she is. I just keep telling her that we cannot go in until she goes
poopy. She tries to whine and get me to pick her up and I just look
away and say go poopy then we can go in. I do also keep telling her
that nothing is going to get her. Then she tries giving me that sad
puppy look...But I don't give in. I dont want to clean up the mess
in the house. So I just tell her again sorry not until you go poopy
then she finally goes. Then I get all excited and tell her how good
she was and that I am proud of her. We are still having some issues
as far a potty training goes. But that is to be expected since she
is still young and I do have to work full time. But she is doing
much better than I expected. Sorry about rambling on. I do that
sometimes.
Kim
