Allay started nipping my nose while playing rough,  I do the ECK each time she did it and stopped playing with
her for a bit and she has stopped,   Hubby can't seem to get the idea of the ECK so even tho she is better with him
she has not completely stopped.  I guess I'm going to have to yell at him, something I don't do to her.   LOL :-(

I do want to note here that this is playful biting, not the kind I just responded to about Angel attacking and biting.

One thing we must all understand is that with most animals, especially dogs (yes and even cats have a pecking order) there has to be a Alfa Leader and you have to be that person,   If your not the Alfa dog in your house, you have a problem.
A little bit of simple obedience training goes far to establish you as the Alfa dog.  Get a good book if you can't find
a class to go to.  Even a two pound Chi is not to small for obedience training. It really makes your relationship with your dog much more enjoyable for you and makes their lives much more secure if they know their limits.  Spoil them all
you want, but remember there are limits, especially for bad or disobedient behavior.

A well trained dog is a happy dog.

It is easier to break this habit than it is to housebreak! First, remember
dogs are pack animals and you are now this pups "pack". What do puppies do
when another pup plays too rough? They squeal and quit playing. This is what
you need to do. When your pup bites, make a sound that shows discomfort,
then immediately stop interacting. Do not try to "tell him it hurts" he wont
understand. The "NO!" don't work here because he doesn't know what he is
being told no to and it would lesson the effectiveness of the "NO!" in other
training areas. In other words, just yelp and leave. completely ignore him
for a few moments. He learns this playing causes the fun to end. :-)

Subject: [Chihuahuas] That little biting devil!

So my pup has never done this before. Maybe because he has been really
hyper. But he is playing with me, but using his mouth. Just biting me.
Not in a mean way, he is just playing. What kind of way can i get him
to not bite at my feet, ankles, arms, hands? To let him know that he
can not do that. He didnt start doing this till about a day ago.
Someone help me! I dont want my Chi to bite and be a brat!
