She probably never had a toy to divert her attention.........    Try simply getting her interested in a toy or something else, and I strongly appricate the squirt bottle and a firm no or ECK.   With the squirt bottle the cat will run too, and that also serves as a divertion.......

I'm so glad you got this baby, I know she will have a good life and that you will work through the problems.  I had a badly abused carin terrior and it took a long time to turn her around but we so enjoyed the dog she morphed into.  I now have
a badly, abused Blue & Gold McCaw that took 8 months of work before we could touch him......    It is amazing what
people will do to animals.

Many years ago, I had a male miniture collie pup that would hump the babies when they had wet diapers, and
one time a female mixed breed pup that did the pillows. The vet told me to wash the pillows twice with a cup
of baking soda, wash once in clear water, then twice with a cup of white vinegar.  It seemed to neturalize
what ever smell was in them that set the dog off.   It did work as I remember.

That's 5 full cycle machine washings on the pillows.  If you can't do that, I'd try a squirt bottle and a stern
NO as you squirt the pup.
Good Luck
