That sounds great Vicky!

I will be looking forward to more posts.  I will put puppy pads in the kitchen for Trixie and see what happens; I will work with pizza too!  I will put them in the crate at night and take them out in the am and put them back in when I am gone to work then when I come home, I will get them out—and take them outside and bring them back in- till I go to bed-then I will put them back in the crate.. Does that sound good? LOL I need authentication here!!

K-I will do that, I will get pizza fixed and have the dewclaws removed-Trixie already has hers gone.

I believe that happening with the goat, I find beaver, bagger parts—I know I spelled that wrong LOL- etc in my yard, that I think coyotes have killed and the dogs drag them in.

You know what?  I don’t like to get up in the morning either.

Love Tracey

Hi Tracey,

I trained Harvey to use puppy pads. However, unless we have snow,
he wants to pee outside. He does use the pads for poo, which is so
easy to pick up and flush - no muss no fuss :-) Many people litter
train them, seperate from the cat box though. He is in a kennel when
I am gone and at night.  There are too many opportunities to get
hurt, especially playing with the cats. The back dew claws are
usually removed, he does have the front ones. If you get them
removed, which I would - have it done when Pizza is fixed so it
won't hurt.
Do you think Trixie could be trained to pee on pads if you leave
them out? You could crate train her, if the crate is small enough
she should not soil it.
I love cows and always wanted them. My friends used to laugh at me
and say they would be knocking on my door to be milked since I have
a hard time being up in the morning.
Coyotes are terrible since they love cat. My son and friends found
a den filled with cat bones when they were small. He cried for a day!
I was shocked when the vet I worked for brought in his goat. Coyotes
dragged it into a stream and tried to drown it. Goat was saved
though :-).

I hope I helped you. I just bought a book on training little dogs
and will post anything I think will help you.
Love,
Vicki
