If you let a merle go for 300, then you are certainly not in it for the money! lol. I am the same, I do it because I love chis! My prices will always depend on what it costed me. I always take the cost I invested (pre-natal care, shots, registration cost, ect) and divide it by the number of pups and that is the cost. I have lost a lot of money with some litters because I have let the go for free to close friends and relatives that I knew were really wanting one, or for very cheap to a child that I knew couldn't afford one but was saving every penny she could get to try to buy one, ect. It is all about wanting to share the love of these precious little furbabys

Yes, he is what is called a Blue Merle.. There are other kinds of merles but Joseph is a Blue Tri Merle.. (3 colors).. He is a very nice looking boy. They are worth quite a bit but this  last litter I let some go for as low as 300.00 and as high as 650.00 for a female for a pet with AKC Reg.   I try  to be fair.. Like I said I incurred lots of costs in raising them but I am not making a living at this. it is a hobby and something I enjoy.  Cindy

I'm kind of new too. If there is  some-one  in the group that breeds ,I really haven't heard it.  I think  very-one here is ok . I made the mistake  when I was looking  for a group. This a breeders group witch was ok.  I just couldn't keep up with what they were talking about.

Not so much to talk to ,but I want to make sure that I am not the only breeder on this group.. I see everybody here loves their dogs and I want to make sure that I am not in the wrong spot. I don't need to be with breeders but I was wondering if their is any on this group. Cindy

No, I was just saying about the prices of the recuse. They had some for $450 and $500.  And the $450 was a mixed bred.  I don't have a site. Are you looking for chi breeders to talk to?

was surfing the net and noticed that www.nextdaypets.com has a few rescue chis listed for low price or free. Just thought some of you who were looking for a pet quality chi may be interested. :-)
