Keep up the good ambassador work with your pals, Vicki. That's the way to alter public misconceptions with any breed - letting people see their potential. When I had my doberman, she had uncropped ears, and I worked my buns off training her. She would get mobbed by kids literally hanging over her. She'd get approached by adults saying, 'what kind of dog is that?' because they didn't recognize the non-pointing ears ;) So keep showing off your well behaved well adjusted boy to anyone who has eyes!
