Hi Tosha, I found a natural flea remedy recipe on a Canadian Jack Russell breeders web site.
It said: Cut a lemon into quarters and place in a pint jug. Cover the lemon with boiling water and let it steep overnight. Next day you have a flea repellent that you can use in a spray bottle. Spray all over your dog remembering especially behind the ears and around the head generally (careful of eyes), around the base of the tail (once again keep away from delicate bits) and under your dog's `armpits'. I hadn't personally tried it, but the woman was really big into natural remedies. I guess the lemon oil in the skin and something in the lemon itself must release something important into that boiling water overnight. If it doesn't work - nothing lost except a couple cheap lemons. Since we can eat lemons - and it is watered down - I wouldn't think this would be too harsh for a puppy. Best, Lynn in Wi My First Sale: $10 off everything at Poochi's Tailor.
