I agree 100 percent with Betty. It depends on the dogs. There
is no right/wrong or yes/no answer to this question. You just gotta know your
dogs. I don't have large dogs inside, but I have them outside. in the summer, my
chis go outside with me all the time. I have one out side that is a husky/wolf
hybrid and she is scared to death of my little yapping chis, lol. Another spitz
mix loves to play with them. However, I also am currently fostering a German
Shepard that I would be scared to death to have around my chis. So, you just
gotta know your dogs. :-)

of Chi's with other pets
Also - is it okay to keep large dogs and larger chihuahuas in the
same house? What are your experiences? I like big and little dogs - but
I have never tried mixing them in the same house. This is for
future reference for me - when I get my own house.
I would say it depends on the dogs. I had 2 chi's and a yorkie
when I found a puppy in my yard. This was several years ago. The puppy was
freezing so I brought him in. We decided to keep him. He was a mixed breed.
He was about 8 weeks old when I found him. He got along fine with my small
dogs. If they jumped at him he'd back down everytime. If the bigger dog is
the least bit aggressive over food or toys I would be afraid to try it
because a big dog could kill a little one so easy. I think it's best to
bring the bigger dog in as a puppy to. Shadow had to be put down due to
seizures last year. Misty missed him bad and she died not to long afterward.
