Again, I really hadn't thought of that, Kay.
There could be other areas to use a small dog like a chi....... One of the
women I know, actually, uses Hedge Hogs, I think it may be through the pet
partnerships program? They are used at a children's museum. In
one program the children read to them. In another program the
children(k-1) learn about care and respect for animals. The unusual
looking hedgehogs really keep the children interested! Yes, a nursing home
really may not be a good setting for a chi at all, but maybe there are other
areas that could be looked into where our chis would be 100% safe.
