I've got the 36. Mine has a door that opens up. I got it at PetSmart. It may be overkill but he hasn't got out. He weighs 3.6 lbs and is 19 wks old but he can jump up onto my recliner with me. Some of these little rascals can really jump and their legs will get a little longer when they get a little older. I use mine in the kitchen to put him in to play when I can't watch him. I'd go with overkill if I was going to put it in the yard. I may be overly anal when it comes to my boy, but better safe than sorry.
