Thanks for caring. I'm not pushing Sparky at all and it seems to be working. She will come to me once in a while now. She seems to be beginning to trust me a lot more since, when I call her or reach out to pet her if she doesn't want to come, I back away. Now she doesn't seem to be afraid that I'm going to grab her or anything (which I have never done). I'm just glad you cared enough to email me. My furbabies and my computer are my life, but I don't get many emails.

I've been thinking about this post you made this morning and wish I could help you with Sparky. I am not a great dog trainer when it is a little tricky like with Sparky so maybe someone else will post to the board or write you at your email. I could be so wrong, but it just seems like getting Sparky to comfortably come to you when called would be such a good start. You've posted to the group a few times that you do have a disabilty, which is one of the reasons the dog you hope to add to your home needs to be pretty small. It makes me think that just basic obedience advice, if that's what Sparky needs?, may not work for you.
Hmmm..I kind of hope a member that is good with what's going on with you and Sparky will maybe email you privately, so you two could go back and forth with emails to brainstorm this.
