I do eat meat, but "sparingly". I don't eat jello, but that's because it always comes out either rubbery or stays like koolaid........I can cook everything else but jello.......even gourmet dishes. I don't think I'll have too much trouble "giving up jello", but I have to say to the people who will stop eating jello now, that if they aren't complete vegetarians as you are, "there is also a dead animal in prime rib and a porterhouse steak".........and then I'd have to ask them would they be just as willing to give up those foods as jello? hahahaha. Oh God, I'm getting myself in dutch with this group tonight aren't I.......I'm "normally" NOT like this, but we have a heat wave here today of 17 degrees and I think it fried my brain cause I was perfectly fine when we had zero temperatures and below zero wind chill. I had to turn off all the heat in the house after it hit 17 degrees so we wouldn't roast to death.

I am a vegetarian and do not purchase animal products at all (for myself....I don't think it fair to force my beliefs in this area on my kids...they must make their own decision, and so far, love their meat and their leather shoes!) I have a hard time finding athletic shoes that are not made of leather! I always check out household products and make every attempt to avoid things with animal products or tested on animals.
