I don't have much time tonight to read all my post from this group, so I am
saving them till tomorrow, but I wanted to take the time to respond to this one.
The "see the vet" advice is the best and is the foremost important. Any time any
animal shows a drastic change in behavior, the first thing you want to do is
check for illnesses!!
If your chi is given a clean bill of health, like others have said, it
could be jealousy. It also could be that he has strong chi characteristics.
These little dogs are BIG in their minds and the growling, snarling, nipping,
ect is one of the few negative characteristics that can become dominate in a chi
if allowed to progress. You must immediately establish YOUR role as alpha. Once
they get the upper hand, they can be hard to break. You will find this in quiet
a few chis.
As for wetting on your bed ect. Let me tell you something that is actually
kinda funny, although irritating! My oldest chi is a service animal, and thus is
extremely well trained and well behaved. However, he has one little irk. If I
make my bed, he will pee all over it!! I never make my bed!! (kinda hard to
explain to people why your bed is never made!! and hard to make the kids
understand why they have to make their beds, but I don't) Don't ask me why
Pepper has a problem with my bed being made. He stays on my bed the majority of
the time that he is not working, but he never wets the bed or marks the house,
but let me make the bed, and I swear, 10 minutes later, he has drowned it!! Go
figure!
