Mine is 5 months old and he goes 2 to 3 times a day. When he was younger he was going 5 and 6 times a day. He goes #1 about every 4 hours. When he was younger about every 2 hours during the day. When puppies are little they go a lot because of small bladders and tiny stomachs (especially toy breeds like Chis). They can hold it longer as they get older. Hope that answers your question.
