I have two Chis with what my vet calls "trick knees". He says in such small
dogs it's best to just leave well enough alone (unless the dog is in pain or has
difficulty walking). According to him, the knee caps usually settle back into
place by themselves. In such tiny dogs, like Chis, surgery or manual
manipulation can often case more harm than good.
