Thank You for your comments - I applaud you for you intellectual thoughts, and for typing it for others to read - I owned mutts most of my life - and I can tell you for a fact - I loved them more for their loyalty and unconditional love they gave me freely, than i have for most people that came through my life. As the owner of a daycare I can tell you I have seen some of these designer children come through my business, and they are usually the ones with the issues, usually  anger because parents are working to impress everyone else and don't spend time with the kids, which leads to attention getting tactics as hitting, biting, yelling, kicking, tantrums ect.......................
And later on they develop into angry, spiteful children who either raise the teenage pregnancy rate, drop out rate, suicide rate, or even better they end up in jail, I also have experience in this as my step daughter is 10 yrs old, I am raising her because her mom is so "into "herself and "her" world, she "doesn't have the time for her"- all because when was younger she thought having a kid would make her" marriage better" -  so she went on fertility pills to "get" pregnant faster -and then after the novelty was over (at around 6 months) she gave up - and my step daughter has had to pay the price for it her whole life.           Again thank you for you comments - greatly appreciated !!!!

Actually, in a manner of speaking, they do breed designer children.
Sperm banks charge higher prices for the sperm of a doctor or lawyer,
Egg banks, will pay tens of thousands of dollars for eggs from
intellegent educated women, and will pay substantially higher rates
for certain ethic group's eggs. Not to mention the number of prenatal
testing for 'genetic defects' (in order to give parents the option or
not of having a "perfect" child).
The problem is not about being self rightious, or nut cases, the
problem is not about being a rescuerer who breeds, or does not breed.
The problem is that we are too busy making ourselves out to be bigger,
better, faster and more than everyone else, regardless of who gets
stomped in the process. Puppymills, back yard breeders, abused and
neglected pets will still exist regardless. Just because purebeds or
designer dogs won't be as plentiful, doesn't mean that people will
automatically pick up the slack on strays or sheltered pets, or mutts
for that matter.
