Also,  our neighbor came over and asked us to replace the pot Cricket ate while the dogs were visiting.  I'm not sure how this should go.  Our big dog often visits the neighbors and is always welcome.  Apparently, they allowed Cricket to visit too.  It cost me $130. and lots of worry to find out that pot is poison to a small dog, but they sniff it out like heat seeking missiles.  I suppose bottom line I should not have allowed the dogs to go visit and should repay her for her loss.  On the other hand she should not have allowed the dogs in or allowed them to come to harm while visiting... *shrug... I guess paying up will support neighborhood harmony more than making it an issue... the neighbor claims the pot is her medicine... In any case, my point here is don't ever let your Chi get hold of even a small amount of marijuana, it's extremely toxic.  You don't want to ever see your dog limp, glazed and peeing on her/his self.

I hate to even speak up here, but I will, mainly because I have a Medical Marijuana card issued  by the city and county of San Francisco, for the side effects of HIV and mainly the side effects of the HIV drugs, that I take (which I have been on a drug holiday away from, during my broken leg episode). The people of California (as well as Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont and Washington.) all have laws on their books allowing folks like myself, with my Doctor's prescription to have Medical Marijuana. Say what you will, but come back and talk to me, when you have a chronic disease, it might change your mind. Most likely this person being another Californian has a prescription for the cannabis. I guess, you could ask her. But, I don't "claim" this medical marijuana for the relief of the side effects I suffer, I know it, and NEVER, NEVER try to tell me otherwise, or you'll be set for the wrath of me, LOL. If you want to ever discuss what it's like to live with this chronic disease, ask me.

Perhaps you two could discuss the amount of property (cannabis) your dog ate, and then discuss the vet bills, and split them in half, or then again, you could try small claims court. LOL, Not to make light of this situation, because you must have been scared for your little furry friend, but if you go to court TV, Maybe the People's Court with Judge Marilyn Milian, rather Judge Judy. Judy is so mean!

I don't think a small amount of pot is poison, like chocolate, but that's just my experience. I'm sorry, you had a scare with your little furry friend.

This is a good reminder, one has to keep certain items out of reach of our little furry friends, or children. Just a good reminder.....

BTW, This card from the city of San Francisco does work in court in Santa Barbara, as I was "caught" with a small amount in my pocket while going thru TSA security on my way home to SFO. I didn't even have to talk in court, All I had to do with was show the card to the Judge, and hand it to the bailiff. It was in fact, an entertaining day in court (less than 2 hours), I enjoyed seeing that my state lives up to it's liberal reputation. Oh yeah, This did cause me to have to return for court in Santa Barbara, but have you been there, it's sooooooooooooooo beautiful! And, I love going home to SoCal, anytime, LOL. It was a bit funny, because the 50 passenger Canadian Regional Jet "Barbie Jet" was full, so every passenger, all 50 saw me deal with TSA, then the local Sheriff, who btw apologized for having to give me a ticket, to have to return and deal with, NP. When the FA asked me if I wanted a drink, I responded, with an enthusiastic, "Yes, Thank you Ma'am, I could use a drink!".

You guys must have figured, I would speak up on this topic,
