First, welcome to the group! Almost always parvo is accompanied with vomitting, bloody, mucousy diarrhea, fever, and lethargy. Also, the pups don't normally get weak and then play normally, get weak, normal, and so on. So maybe he didn't have it. From the sound of it, I think he was blocked with the rubber toy and cloth. That would be an excellent reason as to why he was vomitting. The food and meds couldn't go completely down to the stomach b/c of the blockage. If he's passed these things and starts eating again, and you've cleaned everything really well, then I say try it again. I would make sure that he starts eating again and keeping his food down before getting him back though (this assuming you are getting the same pup). PS- Here is a great link on parvo. It says that parvo can live in your home and yard for up to 6 months. So if you are planning on getting a different pup, you may want to wait a little longer. ~Lacey http://www.workingdogs.com/parvofaq.htm
