Yes, it makes perfect since. Most male dogs start becoming sexually 
mature at 6 months so they start becoming more territorial. They'll 
mark their territory and start the whole humping thing. A lot of 
times if you wait too long to have them neutered and they have 
already started marking, then the neutering doesn't help with it. Of 
course sometimes even if they are neutered young, they will still 
mark later own too, but not as likely. I would definatly take the 
advice of your vet (if you feel comfortable with him). They know 
best... after all, that's why they went to school for 6+ years. GOD
