So glad to hear you took Sparky to the Vets and that he's now back home with you. Did the Vet ever say exactly what is wrong with him?

Just got back about 40 minutes ago. I had to leave Sparky for a
while as he was dehydrated again but just a little bit. I fear what
would have happened had I waited again. He gave some subcu fluids
and said that the Albon and metoclopromide are two of the best things
to give a pup with his symptoms and that it could be until the end of
the week or even after the weekend before he gets to feeling really
good. He checked his throat by just opening his mouth and looking
down there and saw nothing. He said that they get a big wad of spit
in their mouth and have to use their tongue to push it out was what
the opening the mouth really wide was for and doing all that.
He said the Nutri-Cal is a good idea if he just won't eat at all but
to keep offering food and to even rub some warmed up a bit around his
gums to get him to lick it off. I gave him his Albon when he got
home and then he wanted to eat and had about a tablespoon of food
warmed up and drank some too.
Tomorrow he starts his regular diet and I bought some Nutro Natural
Choice Ultra dry and canned to mix together so I'm hoping he takes to
it. It looks good on the store display. lol After this bag of Bil
Jac gets down further, I'll probably start switching my Tzus to the
Nutro as well.
