No need to apologize about your feeling regarding debarking. Most
people have that reaction. I work for a veterinarian and they share your
dislike for the procedure. My first experience with debarking was when I
purchased my sheltie. The breeder had 6 dogs coming at me and they all
made a squeaky sound, not much like a bark. I commented on how quiet they
are, because like a fool, I didn't realize they were debarked. As I was
driving home, it occurred to me that they were all debarked. I felt a
little silly. I don't have an opinion either way, but I won't have the
procedure performed on any of my dogs.
Anyway, I will try ebay. Ironically, I purchased a citronella collar
from there for one of my Australian Shepherds.
