You can trim his nails youself, unless you just don't feel comfortable doing it. Make sure to only cut the white/clear part of the nail. If you cut into the pink it will bleed. Also, it's easiest to use cat nail clippers (look like a little pair of scissors) b/c they are smaller like your chi... lol. If you do mess up and the nail starts to bleed, you can put styptic (sp?) powder on it (buy it at the pet store in the clipper section). If you don't have any, cake flour on the bleeding nail until it stops. Your vet will also trim nails. ~Lacey
