To the best of my knowledge and experience, there is no connection between the ears and teething. You will see some chi pups whose ears stand permanently way before they start loosing their baby teeth (I assume you are talking about this rather than first teeth) And I have seen some that have taken a year. The normal for a permanent stand usually tends to be around 6-8 months, but like humans, you can get all kinds! lol I have seen some that have even had their ears up for a month, only to fall briefly again! lol

lol, Marsha, with the chi pup I'm getting her breeder tried to get a picture of her with her ears UP for me and by the time she got her camera, one ear had gone back down =)  Is there any rule of thumb for ears, Marsha?   Or is it as long as they are teething, as in forever! (j/k)
