Katie - are you big on garage sales ??  I got two last year - varily used - took out the pads and laid linoleum in the bottoms for easier clean up - total cost $25.00 for both of them including the linoleum     Tiki and Moxi only used them for a short time - but I still use one of them to put them in when the kids (i own a daycare) are in the main part of the house - Vinny our Min Pin (20 lbs) can hold his own around the kids though. Although My daycare kids are not allowed to pick - up the dogs, and I'm extremly lucky I've got awesome kids right now, and they all love the dogs very much and are wonderful about my rules in the main part of the house because of the dogs/cat - but it took alot of effort on my part to set and stick with the rules, to get the kids to respect the dogs and thier space.

But how old is Sophie? I don't crate my chis now,
Sophie is 11 months now.  I got her at 12 weeks though and never crated her.  The new pup I'm getting, I am going to get a playpen for.
