Sounds a bit like what Pepper does sometimes. when he goes it is sometimes
like a jelly substance, real thick, but clear and there is usually quiet a bit
of blood. He does this several times a year and it lasts for a few days. I have
had him to the vet for it numerous times but they can't find a reason. Vet
recommended cottage cheese. It works. But after 9 years, I think I finally
may know what is causing his. Last week I begin mixing a little can food in with
the chis dry food (trying to put some weight on Dinah). And yesterday when I
came home, there was this huge glob of blood and slime in three different
places. He never messes in the house except when this is going on. So I am
thinking maybe it is the can food that causes it. Either way, got
him back on cottage cheese for a few days.

Sick...
Sorry Kat, I did send it, but I didn't go see if on group page...so here
is the lowdown on Mimi...
She was kind of "out of it" last night but I just thought she was just
plain tired from her prancing around in her new dress. Well this morning
she didn't want to out to go potty, eat or drink, which was good in the
hindsite. She went on the peepee pad and it funny looking, jelley like
and some blood in it. She didn't want to do anything except be held or
in her crate.
So I gave her a tiny bit of Karo thinking well maybe she was slightly
hypoglycemic, she licked that and within 10 minutes threw up! So she
went to the peepee pad again and the samething again.
I called the vet they said bring her in within 20 minutes, I took her,
along with her stool sample (we only live a few minutes away). That was
neg. for coccidia (which I though maybe she had cause Brutus did), but they
found one dead whipworm. So they gave her a shot to help her
intestines to settle down, some fluids under the skin, amoxicillin, Panacur
and give her 1/4 tablet of Pepcid AC to keep her belly area settled before she
eats.
She also has some prescription food to help with the
intestines/protien. I cannot feed her until 8 tonight to give her body a
rest. He feels she will feel alot better tomorrow.

Kathy said that she sent a post to the group saying what was wrong with
Mimi but it never came through to my e-mail and I looked for it on the
group's web site but I didn't see there either. Did you get (or see that
post) Katie?
