I am one of the verry FEW people on here who is not as particular about the food. All my puppies eat puppychow untill about 3 or 4 months old, then they eat.....ol' roy!!   It is ALL they will eat. In fact, it all my cats will eat too (and I HAVE tried to get my cats on a cat food!!) All of my dogs and cats are perfectly healthy eating ol'roy.

Subject: {SPAMFILTER} [Chihuahuas] food again - at wits end

Ok, I am at my wits end.  I have tried ALL the foods that everyone has mentioned, and my Gordie refuses to eat them.  The only thing she will eat is the Ol' Roy Complete Balance Puppy Formula.  I know, I know, everyone has said that it is not a good food for her to eat.  However, she sits there and starves herself to death with the rest of the brands.  I have even tried adding some yogurt to it, and all she does it lick the yogurt off and spit out the food.

I have spent so much money on food already that I really cant afford to do any other brands right now. I have donated all the stuff she wont eat to the local animal shelter because it is doing nothing but taking up space in my house.

Is there anything that I can ADD to the Ol' Roy to make it more nutritous for her?  Is the reason it is bad because there is not enough of something in it?  How can I make the ONLY THING she will eat better for her?

I have been giving her a little bit of boiled chicken, and when we have something with ground beef I pull a little out for her also before adding seasonings.

I also have been giving her a tbsp full of the Beneful meals each night (lamb and rice so far, but have 3 other flavors for her as well).

Hugs,
Deb and Gordie
