That's wonderful news Marsha! I hope everything goes smoothly with
the
breeding and with leaving her there. I'm sure she'll be just
fine. Can't
wait to see the puppy pics in a few months! Also,
Italian Greyhounds are
great dogs! I have a friend who has a 14 y/o
IG. The grooming is just as
easy as the chi. They get emotionally
attached very easily too like the
chi, but not quite as much (from
the ones I've been around anyway). Good
luck with everything! ~Lacey

funny thing happened to me today! I took Ginger to meet a lady
who has a
stud dog that we will be breeding with Ginger. This lady
raises both
Chihuahuas and Italian Greyhounds. After discussing the
terms of our
breeding ect, we started looking at some of her other
dogs. She mentioned
that this one particular Italian Greyhound was 8
months old and she needed
to get it into a new home before winter
because they are able to be out in
warm weather, but not cold. She
is AKC registered, ect., but she said she
would give her away to a
good home just to make sure she had a place
before winter. I fell in
love with this little girl and before you know
it, I brought her
home! Gee, I don't know what I am thinking, lol. I don't
know
anything about Italian greyhounds! But, now I welcome Dora to the
family. Not sure her name will stay the same, but for now, it is
Dora.

little 5 pound,
short haired chi. I saw some of his previous pups he sired
and they
were absolutely adorable. And soooo small. He throws really
small.
He also has some of the traits that I needed to "fix" in Ginger, so
they should make a perfect set of pups. Ginger started her cycle
Thursday, so breeding day will be next Saturday and again Monday.
Since gas is so high, I will be taking Ginger to him on Saturday and
leaving her till Monday. I have NEVER left her anywhere like this,
so
I hope I can deal with it. However, after many emails and a face
to face
meeting with the lady (not to mention my best friend knows
her well since
she use to be her teacher in high school) I feel
Ginger will be in good
hands. It is my emotional state I worry
about!! lol

Thanks to everyone who has offered help with finding a date for
Ginger! IT
wasn't easy to do in KY, but I think it has turned out
great.
