ya know, they are the greatest little dogs.  Mine is really cool, but is very protective. I have another dog, and two cats, and my roomate has 2 dogs.  She plays with all of them, I bring her to the local chihuahua meetup, BUT.....if she is with me, and another dog or person comes up, she will snap.  If someone trys to put an arm around me, even for a hug, she will bite them.  If the other animals "rain on her parade" she will snap at them.  She never hurts them, but wow.  It is almost scary to know that they woudl probably consider her a agressive dog, but she has so much emotion and love it's like nite and day.  I dont punish her unless she physically bites another dog, then it's a light pop on the rear with a "there is no reason for that" statement, followed by a "bad girl".  She knows what she does is wrong, but I dont ever see it going away.  God forbid someone hits me, she goes off!!

people.  They do like to growl and bite.  Its odd for 
such a cute and small breed that they are agressive and
mean.  My dog is a 1 person dog and doesn't like other
dogs people cats or squirrels. Its a pretty fair watch dog
and does patrol the yard.
