I want to thank everyone for their suggestions. My hubby built a rectangled type pen for the corner of the livingroom. When she is not under direct supervision, Kana is in there. There is her litter pan and a piddle pad. That way she can choose where to go if she needs to. I take her out to potty about every hour or so and she's only been going outside so far. She refuses to mess in her area. So maybe she will learn this way. I hate shutting her up that way but at least there she has a choice. I just wanted to do a group thanks to everyone!
