If you look on the shelter websites, you will almost
never find a quality chihuahua. They do end up in
shelters once in awhile but you have to physicaly go
to the shelter to see them. They are adopted before
they can be advertised.

Lilybelle may or may not be pure bred chi but I feel
like I really lucked out when I got her. I happened
to be at the shelter with somone else looking for a
shepherd but there was this older little girl infested
with fleas, an ear infection and un-fixed. It was
obvious she had pups at one time. I couldn't leave
without adopting her. She is healthy now and I don't
think I could have found a better dog.

I agree with Carrie though, if someone has their heart
set on a young, well bred chihuahua, they will most
likely have to go to a breeder.

I don't understand why anyone would want to be a pit
bull breeder because the shelters are overflowing with them!
