Hi Deb,
Kennel cough is really common and treatable if that's what it is.
Another idea is allergies. My dog has always had allergies that
result in "post-nasal drip". It sounds like rapid in and out
breathing. My mom's dogs have the allergies too, but they sound
like they're snorting, even snoring, rapidly. In all cases, they do
it for several seconds and stop, then repeat it a couple more times.
The vet says they do this because the post nasal drip irritates the
back of their throat but that there's not much that needs to be done
about it other than have them eat food designed for dogs with
allergies. I'd take Gordie in if it gets worse, of course, but if
it doesn't then it just might be something that can wait.
Good Luck!
Stacy

funny sounds since I got her back from the vet. It sorta sounds
like when my cat "Sassie" gets a hairball and is trying to cough it
up.

day. I am getting a little worried about her. Can someone tell me
if they know what this might be, and if there is anything that I can
do without having to take her to the vet because I dont have the
money until after first of the month.

from home, then I would like to try that first.
