Angel's blood work results

I was having such a panic attack - I hate to think how I'm going to feel on Thursday when I have to take her in for her teeth cleaning. I MUST stay calm enough to drive.

They drew some blood and it either clotted or didn't clot - whatever it wasn't supposed to do, it did. So they were checking her other front leg to draw again when they said something about her neck. I got very upset.

{Thank goodness some folks on my list(s) have mentioned this or I would have been much worse because I'd never heard of it before yall. I was turning my head away and they asked if I was upset or whatever word they used and said they'd take her in the back. I said yes I was, but I would just turn my head and I'd be okay. They said no, we're going to take her in the back. When they brought her out, they said it was good they did that because she was so good, didn't move, it came out really good, blah blah.)

Anyway, all her blood work things came out within the range except the hematocrit (HCT) and hemoglobin (HGB) were ever so slightly above the range. HCT 37 - 55 hers was 56.9% and HGB 12 - 18 hers was 19.2. They said nothing to worry about.

So she is going in Thursday morning for the teeth cleaning. They asked if it was okay to call me - it only takes me 5 minutes to get there. So they will call and say come in now. I asked a few questions about how long it would take, which person was going to do it, etc. They said it is done by a tech under a vet's supervision (the female vet I saw last time told me she does it; if she means it's under her supervision, that isn't the same thing to me) - and there are two vets there during that time. Also, rather than hold her for a few hours afterward, they are going to let me take her home a while after she wakes up. So I will make sure I stay home with her all day so she doesn't do anything silly while she's groggy. She won't. She pretty much lays around all day as it is.

QUESTION - does anyone know a RELIABLE site where I can look up each item from her test results and find out what the abbreviations mean and what each item is for ( i.e. kidney, liver, etc.)? I spent a lot of time searching for what I thought would be a reputable site such as .edu or .gov or whatever. Found lots of boxer (or whatever) dog sites but thought I should look for something else. Couldn't find much of anything. Everyone apparently doesn't use the same abbreviations, couldn't find out what most of them meant, and the range of numbers are not the same, either. Thanks if you can steer me in the right direction!
