Hi
guys! I am so excited. I have been with this group for a while and just
waiting for the day that I could post that after almost a year of searching
for the right little male chi, we brought him home yesterday
afternoon.
As
a lot you know we have Trinity, a female rescue little girl, SH fawn with
green eyes who turned 3 yrs. last spring and her best buddy, the cat (who acts
like a Chi).
We
have wanted to find a mate for her for probably a year now. I had been
nervous about getting a new family member with the right personality, safe for
Trinity to mate with and all that stuff. Three weeks ago, my husband
answered a Craigs List ad to a woman looking to re-home her 16 month old
male, who happened to be a SH fawn with green eyes. Well she emailed us back
yesterday morning and we went to see him in the afternoon. I knew as soon as
we saw him, he would be coming home with us. He and Trinity are like
clones, same height, length, color, eyes, except that she has a trim face and
Jay-Jays is more - - - boyish. Jay is my 6 year old nephews name so I wasnt
sure about keeping that as his name, but he answers to it readily and when I
told my nephew he thought it was cool that his name was Jay-Jay, so that will
probably stay that way.
Except
for a few startled looks from both Trinity and the cat, Jay-Jay has fit right
in. Its like we are seeing double with them following each other around the
house. They seem to be getting along great, even the cat is happy.
In fact, as I type, by husband is asleep on the couch with two little chis
under the throw with him and a cat on top of all
that.
Anyway,
I could probably ramble on and I am sure that I will be posting more
soon. But I wanted to share with you all. I get my camera back
from the repair shop tomorrow and will try to get Trinity and Jay to sit side
by side for a picture to post.
