Well, in this particular case, the lady was a 'byb'. I imagine no one did a good job like you're saying, considering that I bought her at under six weeks old and she was already in a pen with a bunch of other puppies.

Typically when a young dog will "go" in his crate, the breeder and the bitch didn't do their job of keeping the puppies EXTREMELY clean. If you breed a bitch that doesn't have the instinct to keep herself and her pups clean, all of the resulting puppies will have cleanliness problems. Typical signs of a bad breeder.
